The precursor to the HIMARS, the MLRS is recognized as one of the more lethal platforms used at the military’s “tip of the spear.” The MLRS plays an extremely important role in first-strike offensive capabilities and is heavily relied upon for securing immediate tactical advantage by delivering overwhelming firepower.
